really, it all comes down to circumstances – he’s not willing to change his

he’s not big on taking chances, even if it means his happiness

theirs was two roads that converged (detour sign must’ve been down)

theirs was the wind in a raging storm

neither was prepared for the lovin’,

sure as hell wasn’t prepared for the scorn

  1. Sheila, when I first saw your post, I thought it was titled “Circumcisions,” so you can imagine my surprise at reading the first sentence as “really, it all comes down to circumcisions.” But then I thought, that can’t be right, and I realized the word was “Circumstances” which made more sense. Once I got my head screwed on right, I really enjoyed this piece. Says a lot in a few words. πŸ™‚

  2. I was going to type something, then I saw Carrie’s comment and lost track, and now I’ve forgotten it. Um, very nice anyway. – Actually circumcisions would work as well, but it would all have a different meaning.

  3. lov’n – scorn powerful descriptions – i like it

for some reason my thoughts flew back in time to when i first heard Sony and Cher singing, ‘i got you babe’ – a song that reminds me that no matter what the circumstances are, “there ain’t no hill or mountain we can’t climb!”

the lyrics to that song have inspired my goals like a prayer, guiding me around undesirable circumstances… sing the song, you’ll feel like a teenager again and back to climbing the hills and mountains using undesirable circumstances as stepping stones…

“rock and roll” the dawning of the future will set you free πŸ™‚

    • That’s funny David – I’ve always loved that song by Sony and Cher, and I’m glad to see music is as powerful a motivator for you as it is for me πŸ™‚ I’ll be humming this tune all day now…
